"A Bit of Aviation History"
13"x17"
Limited edition of 200

$100
The original oil on canvas is in the permanent collection
of the

Smithsonian Air & Space Museum in Washington, D.C.
The still life is a collection of artifacts relating to E.M. "Matty" Laird's contribution to aviation history...
The newspaper clipping and logbook entries document the use of the Laird-Swallow.
This 3-place plane, built in 1919, was the first commercial aircraft.
A 1929 advertisement depicts the Laird-Whirlwind, respected by the postal service for it's dependability.
The photograph shows the Laird-Super Solution which Jimmy Doolittle piloted to victory
in the first Bendix Transcontinental Air Race in 1939.
Rand McNalley railroad maps were used for navigation in those days;
the helmet, goggles, and pilot's license are typical of that era.

"Raggedy Ann"

Limited edition of 200

$50

Hawaiian Sunset
40"x32"
limited edition Giclee prints available in 2 sizes:
40"x32" wrapped with white border $575
25"x20" wrapped with full image $300

This was a composite painting
taken from pictures I had of Mauna Kea beach
and the sunset from our lanai.

I love the colors of Hawaii...they are so vivid!

Sweet Kona
8"x10"
limited edition Giclee prints available in 2 sizes:
8"x10" ready to frame  $120
11"x14" wrapped with dark green edge  $195

This was a painting I did for the Kona Coffee Festival Art Show.
I stood in the hot sun in my sister's coffee field for hours to paint this...
I thought it would be quicker and more abstract,
but it wanted to be a "still life"...Oh well.
